"Former International Gnome spokesperson" turned mom, Traci Carlson. This year the mushers are greated by a series of Gnome signs with such catchy slogans as "Mush ahead to a warm bed," and of course, "there's no place like Nome."
The Dog Lot. After finishers come in, there is a large lot near the harbor where all the dogs are staged and bedded before getting shipped back home.
