July 22nd (with Video)

Here's Kylie throwing a bit of a tantrum over nothing. Probably because I wasn't sharing enough of my dinner with her.

And being satiated by some food off my plate.

Doing a little jig in her new Keens. I saw these Keens at REI and thought that Kylie had to have a pair too. I told Traci about them, and she went and picked them up! She still has room to grow in them, but thankfully she can walk in them today.

July 18th - 20th

More fun at the children's museum.

Kylie looks like she is having fun in the kitchen. What's more amusing about this picture to me is the girl scratching her butt by the shopping cart. Kids have no shame.

Traci and Kylie went down to Sherwood to visit our friend (Great Grandma) Joan. Here is Kylie with Sweetie, Joan's dog.

July 14th (set 2)

More fun at the park.

And a big one too! She's been blowing kisses to strangers at the store these days too. It's a very endearing quality of hers. Definitely put a smile on anyone's face.

July 14th (set 1)

You can interpret what Kylie is doing here.
(1) Kylie giving you "the finger"
(2) Telling you that she's number "1"
(3) Telling you that she's "1" year old
(4) Trying to reach out and touch someone.

I took Kylie to the park that morning before it got too hot out. Kylie had fun at the park.

She likes the swings. Later she wanted to swing on the big girls swing... so I helped her do that too, but no photos. It required full supervision.

July 12th - 13th

Traci thinks that this is a cute outfit. I agree.

July 11th

Here's our big girl standing tall pigtails and all.

Just being happy.

This is an action shot of her climbing over her ramp/wedges. The first few times she'd tumble over or loose her balance. These days she can consistently walk back and forth across both ramps... and sometimes she'll fling herself off just for fun.

You can see the triangle shaped bruise on her head from just such an instance where she lost control on her abort from the ramp.

July 10th - 11th

Kylie got a new Googlies book. Here she's peeking through the googly holes.

I don't recall why Kylie was crying here...

But now she's happy!

July 10th

Matea and Logan playing. Traci has been watching our friends kids for part of the day on Tuesdays. It's nice for Traci to return the favor for our friends who often babysit Kylie for us, when we get in a jam with our work schedules.

This activity center is the product of some of the birthday money Kylie received for her birthday. It's half sand and half water.

And it's good stuff for Kylie.

July 9th - 10th

Kylie has become somewhat of a begger... anytime we're eating something, she wants some. She'll come up to you, start clapping her hands (her sign-language for more), then follow it up with her sign for please (rubbing both hands up and down her chest). Then if you don't cave in, she'll follow it up with some loud noises. Here I'm sharing my Ice Cream with Kylie. It's a rare treat, so I don't feel so guilty giving her some tasty sweet ice cream.

Mmm... cold.

July 9th (pool time)
