More over Times Square

Looks like this photo from Great Falls, MT also made the cut!

Traci over Times Square, NY

Intel is currently running a promo as part of the multiply ad campaign. I submitted Traci's photo from Cinque Terre from last year, and it looks like it made it past their censors.

26th Week, Set 2

We're off to visit our friends Jennifer and Seth Vore. Who just gave birth to their daughter Madeleine Elise Vore. You can visit their blog at http://thevores.blogspot.com (link is also to the right).

"Hi Daddy."

The other week, Kylie discovered the springy door stop in her crawling travels. We have some video of this encounter. She was mesmerized (as all people should be) of the amazing twangy sound it makes when you bend it back and release.

25th Week, Set 3

Who is this cute little monster?

Biggest looks concerned here. He's been really good with Kylie. And Kylie still finds him interesting.

"Everything looks tasty from ground level."

I think this was Traci's first time seeing Kylie pull herself up on her own. We've since dropped the crib down to it's lowest setting. The problem for Kylie is the dismount, she still likes to let go, and TIMBERRRRRR... fall over.

25th Week, Set 2

Sorry for the delay in posting more pictures... I'll try to get caught up over the next several days.

Here's Kylie with her sippy cup.

Daddy with his basket full of joy.

Here's Kylie in a deep slumber with arm draped over the crib bumper. Now that she's 6 months old (this picture is month old), they don't recommend using the crib bumper anymore. But we may elect to use it still since, she likes to nestle her head in the corner.

This was Kylie first time Standing up on her own in the crib (12/2/06). She did this while I was on the computer. I turned around, and there she was staring at me with a big smile on her face. Good thing I had the camera nearby.

25th Week, Set 1

"Momma, stop stuffing my face. You're making me messy." Too bad they don't do "Got Rice Cereal Crud?" on your face commercials, huh?

She was determined to get something... not sure what, though. Kylie's been crawling for a couple weeks now. Her crawling is getting better... and she's definitely more efficient on carpet vs. hardwood floors. Hardwood floors may slow her down, but they sure don't stop her. Maybe they need to make baby crawling clothes with padded knees?

She still has the longest tongue I've seen of any baby!

This is also part of the tongue series of photos.

24th Week, Set 5

Here' s a photo of Traci feeding Kylie solid food for the first time, Gerber Brand single-grain rice cereal. This photo was taken on November 29th. She didn't seem to have much trouble eating it... which is good. And so far no repurcussions if you know what I mean.
Open wide!

Mmm... doesn't that look good? For those that know me, I have a whole food texture aversion... and rice cereal isn't on my approved list. Posted by Picasa

24th week, Set 4

Kylie playing in her "johnny jump-up". This one is from Evenflo.

Looks like Kylie is showing Max her tongue. (Max is the son of one of Traci's co-workers)

Here's our little "love bug". Posted by Picasa

24th Week, Set 3 (Tree cutting)

Here is Laurie with Ryan, and Traci with Kylie. Very shortly after getting home from Redmond. We got a call from our friend Mike who wanted to know if we wanted to go get a tree. We were thinking about it too... so off we went to the local tree farm.
Here I am coming up for air. It's tough work cutting down your own tree. But at least this year's trunk was much smaller than last year.
Traci playing with Kylie on the floor.
Here's Kylie wearing the outfit that Traci laid out for me to put her in. I think this was the first time she wore her Isabooties (www.isabooties.com).  Posted by Picasa

24th Week, Set 2

This is my cousin's daughter Taylor. She is simply adorable. Good thing she is past the "terrible two's".
Taylor, My cousin Bic (who finally met Kylie for the first time), and our little Kylie.

In this picture she's sucking on her fingers with her palm up. Doesn't seem very comfortable to me, but if it works for her, great!

Here's Kylie behind the wheel. She's a terrible driver. She can't even reach the pedals. Posted by Picasa

24th Week, Set 1 (Redmond)

Here I am, trying on some vintage (>30 years old) sunglasses. Here's Kylie in her yellow sweatsuit that my Aunt Kathie bought her. Very nice, very functional. Note that Kylie is on a bear blanket. Thanks to my aunt Connie for giving her the bear blanket. Almost everyone in my family has a bear blanket. I grew up with one that my uncle is in possession of. My cousin Jimmy (who's 13 now), grew up with one too. So it is very special and sentimental that Kylie will have one too.

The day after thanksgiving, we decided to make a trip to Redmond Town Center to check out the holiday decorations and get out and about. We didn't have room for the stoller on this trip, and I forgot to ask Traci to pack a baby carrier. So we improvised and I carried her around Alaskan style. It worked out just fine. As an aside we did finally have breakfast at the famous Maltby Cafe with my college roommate and his family (Brian, Emmy, and Riley). The food is really good. We didn't try one of their world famous cinnamon rolls. Next time.

Here's a family photo.
