3/15 Iditarod 2008, part 1

We woke late into the night to greet Rick Holt from the village of Elim.

Considering how late it was, he had his family and friends at the finish line.

Rick Holt and his family (Chris and Lloyd in the background).

Here I am getting ready for my turn in the Cheechako dog sled race. It was cold that day my friends... bitter cold. I was the 2nd to last person to go, and spent a great deal of that morning standing outside braving the cold for my shot at 3 miles of glorius dog-mushing.
