3/10 Nome, AK part 1

We arrived in Nome on Monday the 10th, relatively early in the morning. This was in the 10AM hour looking East down the coast. This is also the path of the Iditarod trail into Nome.
Later that day, Grandma Chris Perrigo decided to do some cross-country skiing towards the edge of the sea ice. I'm not sure where that really is. It seems farther out there than last year.

All strapped in, ready to go!

Here we are. Definitely a nice day today!

No visit to Nome during Iditarod is complete without a visit to the Nome National Forest. Home to the past years Christmas trees planted in the sea ice.

Walking in her new snow boots was a bit different... especially if the snow sank at all.
