Today we begin phase two of globe trek. We fly Southwest Airlines to Burbank. We learned that today Southwest stops allowing people with Children to pre-board, just old people and people with disabilities. The Gate agent in non-confrontational way informed everyone about this new boarding procedure and handed us a piece of paper describing the new process. So we had to go to the back of the A boarding group line. And while getting situated we had to avoid holding up the line. Not sure why they came up with this policy. I’m hoping they get rid of it. Those of us with kids appreciate the pre-boarding, as do other passengers who don’t have to wait for parents to get their kids settled.
We arrived in Burbank at Bob Hope airport. You definitely know when you’re in LA when you see the way some people are dressed. At the baggage claim we saw a young woman with at least an inch of butt crack exposed. This prompted the discussion of whether there is such a thing as sexy crack? Popular vote at the moment says there is no such thing as sexy crack? Maybe I’ll have to put up some voting buttons?
We picked up our rental car, they gave us a Jeep Liberty this time. It’s good for fitting all our stuff, and still leaving room for visibility out the back window. Despite being 3.7L it’s pretty weak on performance.
We made our way to Ventura, where we are staying with Traci’s friend Roxanne and Geoff (and baby Tom). Sadly, Tom’s been fighting off something and teething at the same time.
A quick photo at the Burbank airport.
