Sabbatical Blog: 10/4 Ventura to LA, CA

10/4 Ventura to LA.
This morning we started our day by talking to all of our doctors about whooping cough exposure. So Traci and I now have a 5 day stint of anti-biotics. They prescribed Azithromycin. Some of the worst side effects include diarrhea, nausea, and stomach pain… but only in 4-5% of cases.

We met up Traci’s sister, Heather, and cousin Melina at her place in Los Angeles. Sadly for Heather, she’s 7 weeks pregnant and fighting off a cold as well. Which means she can’t take very strong cold medicine. And we get to hang out with more sick people, but it is what it is. We’ll do our due diligence to avoid getting sick.

We hung out, while Kylie and Melina played. We helped Heather fill out an application for Carter Can on HGTV, hopefully she’ll get picked for a remodel project. We decided to have some KFC for dinner. I guess Tony was having a craving. It had been so long since Traci and I have had the Colonels Chicken, but I can’t complain, it was finger lickin’ good.

To make things easier, we stayed at the Pasadena Sheraton. It was a decent hotel, but not very good on hospitality.

A morning photo of (left to right) Tom, Roxanne, Traci, and Kylie.

We certainly had nice weather in Ventura.

Auntie Heather, Cousin Melina, and Uncle Tony. This is a photo I took of them to submit to HGTV for their application.

Traci trying on Melina's hat. Some hand-me-down clothes for Kylie.

And Traci trying on Heather's bathing suit for size. This reminds me a bit of the Seinfeld with the heiress to the O'Henry bar fortune... "If the bra doesn't fit, you must acquit. Of course it doesn't fit over your clothes.... it's supposed to next to your skin... like a glove."
Two cousins playing.
