Sabbatical Blog: 9/29 Home Again

9/29 Saturday, First Day Home
Today, we spent a good chunk of the afternoon figuring out how we can squeeze in some R&R on this vacation. Prior to leaving Florida, I had suggested going to Hawaii, for a week. Half-joking and half-serious. Traci bought in and we started looking at Hawaii, but the cost of the resorts with airfare didn’t make it economically feasible at the moment. So we started looking at Cancun, Mexico as an alternative. Aside from it being hurricane season, the stats were looking good.

So we are booked for 5 nights in Cancun now, and cut out Dinuba and Lincoln, CA from our trip. I’m hoping the weather will hold out for us. Since we spent our afternoon doing our trip research, we will have to do our other chores/errands tomorrow.

Tonight we had dinner with Mike and Laurie, and the Colombo’s also joined us for dinner. It was nice seeing some of our friends and meeting Siena for the first time (the Colombo’s 5 month old daughter)!
Ever wonder what 5 weeks worth of mail looks like? We managed to tackle the important stuff in the stack over the next couple days.
