Sabbatical Blog: 9/28 Flying Home

9/28 Time to go home.
It’s so sad… today is the last day of our first leg of our sabbatical journey. It’s been five weeks on the road, and now we fly home. Not much to write about today. We just drove to JAX, dropped off the rental car, and flew home. We had a 3 hour lay-over in Atlanta and arrived at home at 10:20PM. Mike picked us up from the airport, and brought us home.

It was so nice to return home to a clean house. Allison, our house sitter, did a nice job taking care of the house in our absence. Biggest was needy and clingy, but what’s new? It was strange to be home, but yet familiar. I fumbled for a few light switches myself. Clearly a good amount of time to be away.

Our partially remodeled bathrooms still await their completion. Before we left we had the cabinets, counters, and sinks put in. They still need paint, mirrors, and new lights. I’m going to busy when we start working on them again.

Playing with the dogs, Morgan, and Bailey in the morning before we leave.

Some quality time. Morgan gets jealous.

And one last stop by the bank on our way out to visit Grandmad Kathy and her co-workers.
