Sabbatical Blog: 10/3 Ventura, CA

10/3 Ventura, CA.
Today we had a very nice relaxing morning. Roxanne made us all breakfast. After the kids naps, we made a trip to downtown Ventura and had lunch at the “2006 Best rated Thai Food in Ventura”. And I’m sorry to say, it wasn’t that good compared to some of our local fare around Portland. It was enjoyable though. After lunch, we did a bit of a walking loop down and around the beach and back up near the Crown Plaza (Used to be the Holiday Inn).

This evening, we learned that we were exposed to Whooping cough (pertussis) at our friends house last Saturday. Good news, Kylie is probably fine, since she’s had 3 of 4 vaccinations. However, Traci and I are potentially at risk since it has been so long since we were vaccinated. We’ll have to call our doctors in the morning.

Roxanne made some great pasta for dinner, which sent us all to bed with full bellys.

Me with my arms full. I don't know why kids like to stick their fingers in your mouth? Must be something novel about a full set of teeth? Kylie does it too.

Roxanne also has a Peg Perego Pliko P3 stroller. While walking side by side, Kylie and Tom started reaching for each other. It was cute moment, and fortunately we were able to get a photo of it.
