Sabbatical Blog: 10/7 Huntington Beach, CA

10/7 Huntington Beach, CA
In-n-Out Burger! Today we satisfied my craving for In-N-Out Burger for Lunch. As usual, my Double Double Animal style was tasty. Traci tried their cheese fries, which looked good too. After lunch, we came back to the house, and quickly put Kylie down for a late nap. She seemed to be feeling better today, however, Traci and I both woke up with mild sore throats, and a generally not feeling well. Hopefully the feeling will pass by the time we get to Cancun.

Late in the afternoon, we went to a fairly large Harvest Festial/Carnival that was hosted by a nearby church. I was surprised how big the event was. Zoe went on some of the big rides like the Sea Dragon.

We came home, had a deliciously light pasta dinner, and packed up the Jeep Liberty again and headed for our overnight hotel, the Four Points Sheraton LAX. This is one of the most spacious rooms we’ve had yet. Too bad, we’re not spending much time at this hotel, but if you need a hotel near LAX, I’d certainly recommend it.

Kendra and Traci at the Harvest Festival. If you can't tell, Kendra is expecting #3 in the next several weeks.

In the second row from top, you can see Zoe and Don on the Sea Dragon.

Kylie chillin' with her shades.

Zoe asked me to go in the fun house with her. It was fun. The slide at the end was high friction on bare skin, and produced quite a shock along the way! I hate getting shocked on slides all the time.

The sun was shining bright, and the winds were warm.
